Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with the daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation and presentation meet our high standards.
- Support senior chefs with managing the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Take ownership of your section, ensuring that dishes are prepared, cooked, and plated to perfection.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and food safety standards, as well as contributing to stock control and ordering.
About You:
- Experience: Previous experience in a professional kitchen, with a solid understanding of cooking techniques and a passion for using fresh, quality ingredients.
- Transport: Reliable transport is essential, as The Fishpool Inn is located in a rural area with limited public transport options.
- Work Ethic: A team player who is willing to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with flexibility to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Drive: A strong passion for food and an eagerness to contribute to a high-performing team in a well-established establishment.
This position would require a responsible individual with good attention to detail and strong organisational and management skills. We are looking for an experienced chef who wants to learn, is ambitious and has a sense of hard work and fun.
